Ever wanted to go to the Enchanted Forest? The Hoh Rainforest is so spectacularly beautiful you will be in awe as you hike through this temperate rainforest. Be ready to let your imagination whisk you away as you explore the lush Hoh Rainforest.
The Hoh Rainforest is absolutely GORGEOUS! I cannot say that enough. This was definitely one of our stops on our Olympic Peninsula road trip we wished we would’ve saved more time for. The Hoh Rainforest is a National Park, so there is a park fee (around $30 per car for 7 days) to enjoy this amazing rainforest.
Follow Hoh Valley Road until it ends at the parking lot and ranger station. Here you will have a couple of choices for different hikes and you can also camp here (definitely on my bucket list). Make sure to look for Roosevelt Elk, The Olympics are home to the largest wild population in the United States.
Get Lost in the Enchanted Forest
Whatever you do make sure you take the time to do the Hall of Mosses hike (0.8 miles one way). I have never seen anything like it in my life, it was absolutely beautiful! We kept saying we felt like kids walking through the Enchanted Forest. Seriously every turn was more beautiful than the last.
There was so much to see along this trail and none of it is strenuous, just beautiful. We hiked it close to sunset and it was absolutely beautiful lighting, but this is definitely a place we both wish we would’ve saved a little more time for.
Save a little
The National Parks have free admission on special holidays so make sure to check out their website for free days. They also have yearly passes if you are making a trip to any of the other National Parks. Hurricane Ridge was another National Park we went to in the Olympic Peninsula.
