If you are heading to Napa make sure to leave yourself time to enjoy Downtown Napa. There is so much to do in this beautiful downtown and everything is walkable, which makes for the perfect way to spend an evening after wineries.
Oxbow Public Market
This is a perfect place to find a bite, as there are numerous restaurants to choose from. My favorite part about Oxbow Public Market is most restaurants have an outdoor space where you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful California weather. There are tons of restaurants but the ones that were most recommended to us were Gott’s Roadside, Hog Island Oyster Company, The Model Bakery, Cru, and Live Fire Pizza.
Oxbow Public Market also has tons of vendors where you can buy specialty foods and gifts to take back to your hotel for later or that would make amazing gifts to bring home.
After a lot of wine tastings, sometimes you just need a palette cleanser. Stone Brewing has a an amazing set up with lots of outdoor seating overlooking the Napa River. We very much enjoyed sitting outside with a pint and enjoying the evening. They also have corn hole which goes perfect with a pint on a nice day. You definitely can’t beat the great beer, warm vibe, and amazing view.
Sky & Vine
I am a huge sucker for a rooftop bar, and thankfully our friends found this epic spot. Head to the rooftop of the Archer hotel to Sky & Vine. This was an absolute perfect way to finish out a day of wine tasting in Napa. They have amazing craft cocktails and a killer view of downtown Napa. Go at sunset and watch the sun go down with a drink in your hand, you won’t regret it.
Enjoy the Napa River
The Napa River makes a beautiful spot to stop for some selfies, or sit in the park and watch the boats go by. Feeling adventerous? You can also rent kayaks and paddle boards and go down the beautiful Napa River.
Shop & Eat
There are tons of restaurants, bars and shopping all near the Napa River. Check out Main Street, 1st Street, and 2nd Street. This area has a large concentration of everything going on in Downtown Napa and it makes a great place to stop for an afternoon or evening. We didn’t have time to hit it all, but we have heard great things about Cole’s Chop House, Bounty Hunter, Torc, Zuzu, and La Taberna.
